Raila’s Mombasa point man dies

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga close ally and prominent Mombasa businessman Okoth Waudi is dead.

Okoth who is the proprietor of  the famous Casablanca club died this morning at the Mombasa hospital where he was receiving some treatment after succumbing to cancer.

The deceased has also served as a nominated Councillor twice under the former Mombasa Municipal Council. He had earlier tried to vie for the Likoni and Changamwe parliamentary seats but lost.

He leaves behind a widow and six children with one of his sons Kizito Opeya currently serving as the Mkomani ward representative.
